throughout my life i've frequented boards pulsating with online degenerates, made up of incels, racists, addicts, and other lost men. while socially outcasted in the real world, they found solace in online communities where they bonded over their shared loneliness. i understood their struggle and related to many of the problems that they faced, but it isn't the problem in and of itself that matters, it's how i reacted to said problem. while this album has gloomy undertones, there is a concurrent message of hope for a better tomorrow, and that is what life is all about. i'm not very religious but faith moves all of us, we all want something, and while it may get discouraging we need to keep believing in ourselves because it's easier to think of things that are bad than good. at least for me, but you might relate.
what about the name? well, it's inspired by the name of a thread that i would consistently see on 4chan or some drug subreddits jerking about taking walks at night. the first "night walk" i took was when i was like 12, my friend's parents just let us walk around at night, and needless to say, it had a very profound impact on me. me and that same friend still walk the streets to this day, but most of the time i do it on my own and that's what this is all really about. there is a reason why nightwalking is an activity that attracts lonely people.
there's a melancholic beauty about the way the streets look at night, plus there is never anyone else outside where i live and it feels like it's "my thing" because i'm the only one doing it. this is an album for anyone that has been in those shoes before, and if you haven't, then maybe you can /nightwalk/ for the first time while listening to this album. i'm sure everyone has felt isolated before, especially after the last few years, so this album is for you
heres to all the depraved, decadent, and debauched deviants out there
there are no swear words on this album
/nightwalk/
